Turkish GP presents Lewis Hamilton the chance to equal Michael Schumacher’s F1 title record

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be presented with the first chance to equal the F1 title won by the F1 and German great Michael Schumacher.

Already, Lewis Hamilton has broken some of Michael Schumacher’s records such as most F1 wins, most pole positions, most podiums, most wins at different circuits and most different grands prix won.

The numbers are 93 wins for Lewis Hamilton while (Michael Schumacher record stands at, 91 wins); 97 pole positions places for Lewis Hamilton while Michael Schumacher has 68.

Lewis Hamilton has graced the podium 161 times while Michael Schumacher did for just 155 times, Lewis Hamilton has won 27 different grand prix while Michael Schumacher won just 22 and the Brit has wins in 28 different circuits while Michael Schumacher won just 23 times.

Having mentioned some of the records that Lewis Hamilton has taken from Michael Schumacher there are many other records that he could still break.

One of those is the most title win by a driver and Lewis Hamilton can achieve this feat this weekend in Turkey and this is how it could happen this weekend even with three races to the end of the season.

So far, Lewis Hamilton has won 9 of the 13 races so far this season and he could clinch his 7th career title if he accrues 78-point lead.

Currently he has an 85-point lead over his teammate and closes rival Valtteri Bottas and with certain conditions Lewis Hamilton could be crown world champions at Istanbul.

If Bottas wins the race with the fastest lap (26 points), Hamilton cannot be champion in Turkey

If Bottas wins the race without the fastest lap (25 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is second (18 pts)

If Bottas is second with the fastest lap (19 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least fourth (12 points)

If Bottas is second without the fastest lap (18 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least fourth (12 points) or fifth with the fastest lap (11 points)

If Bottas is third with the fastest lap (16 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least fifth (10 points)

If Bottas is third without the fastest lap (15 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least sixth (8 points) with or without the fastest lap

If Bottas is fourth with the fastest lap (13 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least seventh (6 points)

If Bottas is fourth without the fastest lap (12 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least eighth with the fastest lap (5 points)

If Bottas is fifth with the fastest lap (11 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least eighth (4 points)

If Bottas is fifth without the fastest lap (10 points), Hamilton will be champion if is at least ninth with the fastest lap (3 points)

If Bottas is sixth with the fastest lap (9 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least ninth (2 points)

If Bottas is sixth without the fastest lap (8 points), Hamilton will be champion if he is at least 10th (1 point)

If Bottas is seventh or lower, Hamilton is guaranteed to be champion
