The last seven days was filled with great sporting events ranging from happenings at the ongoing European Championship and NBA Conferences Finals.

5. The Cristiano Ronaldo Coca-Cola snub
Guess when you are the only person alive with more than 300m followers on social media you can have a great impact on anything including one of the biggest brands in the world.
The Portuguese superstar reportedly made the brand lost $4 billion following his action during a presser at the ongoing European Championship.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 36, moved two bottles of Coca Cola away from his table and suggested that his onlooker should drink water ‘agua’ instead.
His action was reportedly said to have made Coca Cola share nosedived from 56.10 dollars per share to 55.22 dollars per share.
4. Jon Rahm wins US Open
Jon Rahm birdied his final two holes to outlast Louis Oosthuizen by one stroke for US Open victory and his first major title.
Oosthuizen was in a three-way share of the lead heading into the deciding round and opened up a one-shot lead on a gripping final day at Torrey Pines.
But Rahm rallied in San Diego, where the emotional Spanish star dramatically birdied the 17th and 18th holes to claim a lead he never relinquished on Sunday for his first ever title.
3. Nigerian representatives at NBA Conferences Finals
With the fixtures fixed for the 2021 NBA Conferences finals, there are 8 players of Nigerian descent to watch out for when the Atlanta Hawks-Milwaukee Bucks do battle in the East and Los Angeles Clippers-Phoenix Suns do battle in the West.
Onyeka Okongwu will be in action for the Atlanta Hawks as they face Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jordan Nwora Milwaukee Bucks.
While Deandre Ayton who is one of the key players for the Phoenix Suns would be hoping to add to their victory in the Western Conference Game one against Daniel Oturu’s Los Angeles Clippers.
2. Max Verstappen wins French GP to maintain lead
Red Bull rescued a dramatic victory for Max Verstappen with a powerful undercut and a bold second stop after his first-lap error put Lewis Hamilton in the ascendancy at the French Grand Prix.
A third consecutive win for Red Bull – two for Verstappen and one for Sergio Perez – boosted their leads in both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships.
Verstappen looked to be in trouble when he let Hamilton through at Turn 2, but his team’s strategy turned the race on its head, extending his advantage to 12 points in the standings.

1. Germany too hot for Portugal
Group F had a blockbuster game on Matchday 2 as Germany and Portugal played out a six-goal thriller that ended with the Germans winning 4-2 at the Allianz Arena.
Germany started the game on the front foot and had a goal disallowed for offside before Portugal scored from a brilliant counter-attack started and finished by Cristiano Ronaldo totally against the run of play in the 15th minute.
Germany did not let their heads drop, and were rewarded with an equaliser after 35 minutes when Robin Gosens’ ball across the six-yard box was swept home by Portugal’s Ruben Dias for an own goal.
Four minutes later, the game was turned on its head by another Portugal own goal, this time from Raphael Guerreiro.
Germany were not done, and they made it three when Kai Havertz slotted home from a Gosens cross before Gosens himself got on the scoresheet to make it 4-1 to Germany.
Portugal pulled another goal back through Diogo Jota, but were completely outclassed by the Germans.
