The first two practice sessions for Sunday’s race held on Friday and the final practice and qualifying, will run today, Saturday.

Valtieri Bottas, Hamilton’s teammate was fastest for the practice and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was second fastest.

Six-time Champion and this season’s runaway title leader, Lewis Hamilton will be up for this Portuguese Grand Prix as he seeks to get his 92nd win and move to the number one spot of the driver with the most wins.

After the Practice, Hamilton spoke and said: “Incredibly difficult circuit, massively challenging”.

“The undulations are incredible and there are a lot of places where you just can’t see where you’re going,” Hamilton said.

The English man is currently tied with Michael Schumacher on most wins (91), and Sunday’s race could see Lewis Hamilton set a record in F1.

But looking beyond the Portuguese grand prix, there has always been talks on who the greatest driver of the Sport is between Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton.

Michael Schumacher holds the most titles won currently with 7, and that looks like an edge for the German against Lewis Hamilton who is still on 6.

We analyse why Lewis Hamilton is the greatest driver of the formula 1 sport has ever seen even with a title less

TITLES

Michael Schumacher retired with winning 7 titles, Lewis Hamilton is currently on 6, and only an extraordinary magic can stop the English Man from not winning this year’s title, so judging with titles, it looks even, and also favour to Hamilton as he still has good number of years for him to win more.

WINS

Both tied together on 91, but definitely Hamilton will surpass this soon, if not Sunday, the Mercedes driver surely will beat this and will extend it massively. This is going to be huge, hence it shows why Hamilton is the greatest driver of F1.

CAREER POINTS

This category is landslide for Hamilton. He has got 3661 points to himself, while Schumacher had 1566. Even if Schumacher’s points gets doubled, it still wouldn’t reach Hamilton’s.

This just shows how dominant and Super Lewis Hamilton is.

In other analysis, Schumacher holds the record of most wins in a season tied with Sebastian Vettel, while Hamilton’s is 11.

On the stats on Fastest Laps, it’s Schumacher’s cake, he holds the record with 77, while Hamilton’s is 51.

Hamilton has been in pole positions for 96 times, while Schumacher was in pole position for 68 times.

With all these, it’s so amazing how these two drivers achieved or have achieved all of these great feats, hence they are two great and successful drivers, but Hamilton should still take the title of the greatest or most successful Formula 1 driver.
