La Liga Matchday 3 Preview, Tips and Predicitions

After the conclusion of the second round of matches in the Spanish La Liga, the teams are ready to go again on Matchday three.

Champions Atletico Madrid showed off their pedigree last week as they picked up a second win of the season to give them maximum points from the opening two games.

They would look to take that form into the rest of the season if they are to retain the title. Here is our Spanish La Liga matchday three preview and tips from our in-house experts;

Mallorca vs Espanyol: High-flying Mallorca will take on fellow newly-promoted side Espanyol as they look to build on their impressive start to the season. Mallorca have picked up four points from six available since the beginning of the season with a win and a draw. Their opponents Espanyol she managed two draws in their opening games. Mallorca have been given 2.60 odds of winning the match and a draw has been set to 2.90 odds. Espanyol have been given 2.90 odds of picking up a win.

Valencia vs Alaves: Valencia will take on the winless Alaves at the Mestalla. Valencia have picked up four points from six available in their first two games, while their visitors have lost both of their own matches do far this season. Valencia will be hoping to pile more misery on their visitors when they face off at the Mestalla. Valencia have been given 1.68 odds of winning the match, and Alaves have been given 4.85 odds. A draw has been set at 3.60 odds.

Celta Vigo vs Athletic Bilbao: Both sides come into this matchday three encounter on the backs of draws in the previous round. While Athletic Bilbao held Barcelona to 1-1 draw, Celta Viga were playing a goalless draw against Osasuna. Celta have picked up only one point so far this season, while Athletic Bilbao have picked up two points. Celta Vigo have been given 2.40 odds of picking up a win in the match, with Athletic Bilbao getting 2.95 odds. A draw has been set at 3.15 odds.

Elche vs Sevilla: One of only two teams with a 100% record so far, Sevilla, will take on struggling Elche in a bid to extend their good start to the season. The club will be banking on Argentine winger Erik Lamela to keep us his good form for the club.

Elche have only picked up one point so far this season after a draw and a loss in their opening two matches. Sevilla are favourites to won the match and have been given 1.71 odds, with Elche getting 4.80 odds of winning the match. A draw between the sides has been set at 3.45 odds.

Real Sociedad vs Levante: Separated by one point and one place on the early season table, Real Socieded will welcome Levante to their home ground for their La Liga matchday three encounter. Levante have drawn both of their matches, leaving them with two points. Real Sociedad have won one and lost one of their matches this season. Real Sociedad are clear favourites for the win with 1.54 odds of getting maximum points. Levante have been given 6.00 odds of getting all the points in the match, and a draw has been set at 4.05 odds.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid: After their entertaining 3-3 draw against Levante, Real Madrid must now find a way to defeat Real Betis in order not to fall too far behind their rivals. Barcelona vs Getafe: Barcelona will take on another of the league’s winless sides at the Nou Camp. The Blaugrana have picked up four points from six on offer this season and would look to bounce back from their draw against Athletic Bilbao in the previous round. Getafe have not won a match this season, but they would try to tackle Barcelona in the hopes of picking up their first points. Cadiz vs Osasuna: Two undefeated sides will take on each other when Cadiz and Osasuna lock horns on matchday three. Both sides have drawn both of their matches in the Spanish La Liga this season. Cadiz have been given 2.95 odds of picking up maximum points, and a draw has been set at 3.00 odds. An Osasuna win has been set at 2.55 odds.

Rayo Vallecano vs Granada: Undefeated Granada will take on newly-promoted Rayo Vallecano in an important matchday three clash between the sides.

Rayo Vallecano have lost both of their matches in the league so far this season, and will be looking to pick up their first points of the season.

Rayo Vallecano have been given 2.50 odds, and a draw has been pegged at 3.05 odds. A win for Granada has been set at 2.90 odds.

Atletico Madrid vs Villarreal: Atletico Madrid will put their 100% record on the line when they take on fellow undefeated side Villarreal at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Villarreal have drawn both of their matches in the league this season, and will be expected to put up a formidable opposition to the champions.

They are the underdogs in this tie and have been given 5.00 odds. Atletico Madrid have been given 1.76 odds of winning the match and a draw has been set at 3.30 odds.
