It was another great weekend for Nigerian players lying their trade abroad but maybe not the best for football betting <\/a>fans.<\/p>\n

Wilfred Nidid continued his great run if form, Paul Onuachu was again back on the scorers chart.<\/p>\n

Semi Ajayi, Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun all had a great weekend but only five can make the list.<\/p>\n

5. Alex Iwobi (Everton, England)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Super Eagles attacker Alex Iwobi was again in top form as he helped Everton secure a 1-0 away win against Sheffield United.<\/p>\n

Alex Iwobi was in the pitch the entire time as Everton pipped Sheffield United at Bramall Lane to pile more misery on Chris Wilder’s side.<\/p>\n

The win helped Everton bounced back from their Carabao Cup 2-0 quarter-final loss to Manchester United during the midweek.<\/p>\n

4. Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City England)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi bossed the midfield as Leicester City played a 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian midfielder who was the best player for Leicester City in their 2-0 win against Jose Mourinho\u2019s Tottenham last weekend was again their best player on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Despite just playing in his fourth game since recovering from the injury, Wilfred Ndidi played like he never missed games through injuries.<\/p>\n

Apart from Bruno Fernandes, Wilfred Ndidi was by far the best player on the pitch from both side.<\/p>\n

Wilfred Ndidi made seven tackles against Man Utd, the most by any Leicester player in a single Premier League game this season.<\/p>\n

He made three interceptions, made 25 forward passes. In fact, it was his interception on Bruno Fernandes that led to Leicester City\u2019s equaliser.<\/p>\n

Leicester City remain second on the log after earning a point at the Kings Power Stadium on Boxing Day.<\/p>\n

3. David Okereke (Club Brugge, Belgium)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Nigerian striker may have lost his starting position but is already ready to deliver whenever he is called upon.<\/p>\n

David Okereke bagged his third goal in fifth league matches for Club Brugge after coming on as an 80th minute substitute against Eupen.<\/p>\n

His 82nd minute strike made it 3-0 for his club, and that was his 4th goal this season in the Belgian Jupiler League.<\/p>\n

2. Semi Ajayi (West Brom, England)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has scored his first Premier League goal of the season at Anfield to earn West Brom a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

The former Arsenal academy product who has played in all tiers of English football scored his first ever in the topmost league on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Saido Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool as early as the 12th minute and it looked like th game was ending 1-0 in favour of Klopp\u2019s men.<\/p>\n

But Semi Ajayi rose the highest to head home the equaliser in the 82nd minute.<\/p>\n

Semi Ajayi produced a masterclass in the game against the best team in the land.<\/p>\n

He won all his tackles, made seven clearances, three ball recoveries and scored with his only shot.<\/p>\n

In fact, he wasn\u2019t dribbled past and he didn\u2019t commit a single foul as Sam Allardyce men secured a point against the table toppers.<\/p>\n

This is his first Premier League in 14 games.<\/p>\n

1. Paul Onuachu (Genk, Belgium)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has ended his two-game drought by scoring his 15th league of the season on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian striker who has been in fine form failed to score in any of Genk’s last two games.<\/p>\n
